South Street, Orlando, FL 32801 Ever feel like turning over your postion on the Board to someone else, but don't feel like there is anyone in the neighborhood to turn it over to? Well, a best practice of leadership is to continually identify and develop new organization leaders. This workshop will cover how to create a leadership succcession plan and outline strategies to recruit and tran potential new organization leaders; if anything train more folks to feeel confident in taking a role as a Board Member. Participants will have an opportunity to share their successes and challenges with leadership and recruiting new leaders. This workshop is tomorrow, so don't miss out. Plenty of spaces available; so there is no need to register! Just show up tomorrow morning by 9:00am. UF Master Money Mentor Training Become a UF Florida Master Money Mentor Volunteer! UF IFAS Orange County Extension will offer the 2013 Florida Master Money Mentor Volunteer Training on April 16, 17, & 18, 2013, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Orange County Extension Education Center, 6021 S. Conway road, Orlando, FL 32812. Cost is $50. Pre-registration and background screening required. Individuals attend this workshop to receive in depth training in basic money management, and credit and debit management taught by University of Florida IFAS Faculty. Simeon Resource and Development Center provides application assistance and conducts presentation for community groups. In addition, there are opportunities for faith-based groups and non-profits to receive training to assist families in completing applications and receive incentives for assisting. Deposit unwanted prescription drugs here!
Do you have unwanted prescription drugs around your home? Need a place to go to get rid of them? Here's your chance. Remember: don't throw away prescription drugs in the trash or flush them down a toilet, they are harmful to our environment. Surveys indicate that 70% of people 12 and older who abuse prescription drugs get them from family or friends. After marijuana use, prescription drugs are the most commonly abused substances by Americans over the age of 14. MedReturn boxes will provide Central Florida citizens a convenient and safe place to dispose of unwanted prescription drugs and will keep those drugs away from someone who might abuse them. There are now drop boxes in 5 locations around Orange County. There is a drop box located in the lobby of the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Central Ops location at: 2500 W. Colonial Drive.
